Twenty years ago the Possum Pedal 100 was created by the Rotary Club of Graham, drawing thousands of cyclists and crowds for miles around and was one of the most popular early Spring rides in north Texas and southern Oklahoma. This event has been revived by the Chamber of Commerce as a summer event with rides of all distances.

The Possum Pedal offers rides of 6, 20, 21, 37, 51, 67, and 83 miles through Southwestern Young County, including Graham, South Bend and Eliasville.   This year we have brought back the 21 and 27 mile routes that go to Fort Belknap.  The ride begins at the corner of Third and Oak Street on America’s Largest Downtown Square and finishes under the cool shade of the pecan trees on 3rd street between West and Pecan Street. The terrain is rolling hills, smooth roads, and some of the most beautiful scenery in Texas. It is a great warm-up ride for The Hotter N Hell or a great way to just come out and enjoy a day away from the big city crowd.

The Possum Pedal Bike Ride begins at 7:30 a.m. in the historic Downtown Square. Rest stops are plentiful and ride support is strong. Start and Finish line activities include the 4th Annual Food Truck Championship of Texas, live music, fun activities for kids and the entire family, and finish with a concert at the Young County Arena.  This year's featured performers are Parker McCollum and Turnpike Troubadours.

Visit the Food Truck Championship of Texas website for more information or to purchase tickets to the concert.
